Last Night's Outfit...

Skirt: Topshop
Top: Primark
Denim waistcoat: Topshop
Shoes: Topshop
Sister's dress: Topshop

Well, I haven't done an outfit post in an absolute age! I've been ridiculously busy with work, school and uni work that I've just had no time to do anything else. Anyway, last night I had a rare Saturday night off. I'd been at uni all day but fancied letting my hair down so me and my big little sis, hit the town! I have been dying to wear this skirt for a while now but wasn't sure what to wear it with. In the end I settled for a plain, black Primark boobtube and I think it looks okay. I also threw my simple denim Topshop waistcoat over the top so I didn't feel so exposed! Had a brilliant night but today has been a bit of a nothing day! Oh well, my excuse is I need the rest!

Today's Outfit...

 Skirt: River Island (old)
Top: Primark
Scarf: New Look
Thought I'd show a little example of what I'm currently wearing on a daily basis as I'm on school placement. I have to be careful to now dress like a teacher and make sure I look like the other teachers in the school and not a scruffy student!! Having said that, it is quite tricky to find clothes in my wardrobe that are a) suitable to wear to school and b) clothes that I don't mind getting paint on! I have a huge selection of clothes that I absolutely love but I have to think practical when dressing for the classroom. I have spent my week playing outside, drawing, being drawn on, sitting on the carpet, having children all over me, playing, going swimming and generally getting very involved and I have thoroughly enjoyed it!
Ps. The picture at the end is me practising my new "teacher face". Like? (Ha)

Night out outfit...

Skirt: Oasis
Top: Miss Selfridge
Shoes: Desire
Tights: Primark
Bag: Asos

Well, this is what I wore on my night out last night with the girls. I had intended to wear a much more summery outfit, with pastels galore but the weather really put a downer on that. It was torrential here in Kent, the wind was horrific and it poured it down all night!! So typical for the one night that I decide to venture into town! Anyway, I decided upon this outfit. The skirt, obviously the same as the one that has been on the blogosphere for ever, was my BARGAIN item of the century! I found it on a rail in Oasis, however it is a size 12, so a tad to big for me but I thought I can easily sort that out. So I took it to the till and to my surprise it had gone down from £45 to £10 and I got 20% student discount...so yep it was only £8! Amazeballs! The top is from Miss Selfridge and a much lovelier colour than it looks in these photos. Horse clutch bag that I absolutely adore was big enough to fit in all of my junk and I was good to go. Apologies for the hair mess, I had been at work all day and didn't have time to re-do it! Hope you all had a great weekend.

Today's Outfit...

Jeans: River Island
Jumper: Topshop
Trainers: eBay
So...I started university today!! I had to be in Canterbury for 9.30am to start the registration process, I had a library tour, got my student card, had talks from previous students, course lecturers and met lots of lovely people. All in all it was a very sucessful day! Above is what I wore, channelling a casual student look but trying to make myself feel a bit more summery (this weather sucks) in these lovely aqua pastel jeans. New trainers from store Branch309 on eBay, which I am in love with and cannot wait to wear with a cute dress when the summer actually arrives. Just settling down to watch Edward Scissorhands with my sister after a busy, but brilliant day out.

Todays Outfit...

Dress: River Island (belt included)
Cardigan: H&M (brooch included)
Socks: Topshop

This is technically what I wore yesterday as today I am ill and just sprawled out on my sofa! As well as being a trainee teacher I am also a waitress at a popular village restaurant. I love my job and working with everyone, it's crazy busy but it keeps me on my toes. However, it does mean that I spend a large proportion of my time wearing all black, there is little room for fashion when you have to be in all black, practical, sensible clothing and handling food all day! So when I do have a day off I love to experiment with colour and this is one example of that! This dress is so flattering and easy to wear and I am in LOVE with these Topshop socks, expect to see lots more of them!

Welcome to My Attic...

So for those of you who don't know me, here's a little bit of background to explain why I have started this blog and what I'm up to at the moment. I recently bought a new house with my fiance, S. We moved in in December and started decorating room by room but I always had my sights set on the top of the house...the loft! Little had been done to this room by the previous owners but I knew it could be a really special room. And to give this room a purpose, I am also starting a teacher training course this month, so needed a room to study in. Well here it is, finished and lovely and perfect as my study room, eBay-ing room and as the birthplace of my new blog! So, welcome, and I can't wait to carry on writing from my inspiring new room!
